Good to know
The practical details couples ask us before they book.
- Where is Harmony by the Sea located?
- Harmony by the Sea is at Bramston Beach, Far North Queensland — about one hour (roughly 90 km) south of Cairns, 25 minutes from Innisfail and Babinda, within the Cairns Regional Council area. Number 52 Evans Road, Bramston Beach.
- Is the house really absolute beachfront?
- Yes. It is one of the only areas in FNQ with no road between the house and the sand. You step off the deck, walk a few metres through the paperbark trees and you are on the beach.
- Is it suitable for couples?
- The house is set up for two people. It suits couples looking for a quiet, romantic beachfront escape rather than a busy resort; a private spa bath, a large verandah with French doors that open to the dining and lounge, shady chaise lounges and long, unpopulated beaches in both directions. Great for solo getaways as well, if you need peace and space to reconnect with nature, regenerate your soul and be completely with your self.
- What is the minimum stay?
- A three night minimum booking applies.
- Can you swim at Bramston Beach?
- Yes. Bramston Beach has a maintained stinger enclosure for safe ocean swimming during stinger season (typically October to March), plus a caravan park and boat ramp nearby. You can swim off the beach in winter months, with caution as Crocodiles inhabit Tropical North Queensland waters.
- What is there to do at Bramston Beach?
- Beach and estuary fishing, long beach walks, rainforest drives, sunrise over the Coral Sea, and slow days on the sun deck or in the spa bath. Innisfail, Babinda Boulders and Josephine Falls are short drives away.
- How do I check availability and book?
- The availability calendar on the Book / Contact page shows booked and open dates. Send an enquiry through the form or email stay@harmonybythesea.com and Luke and Jill will confirm your dates.
- Are there any shops?
- Not unfortunately not currently, there was for many years and one is under refurbishment now. Mirriwinni, Babinda and Innisfail are short drives from Bramston and there is a restaurant at the Bramston Beach Motel a few hundred meters up the road. Bookings are essential ahead of time.
